In all industrial branches, the last period is under the sign of economic progress, but
with the lowest energy consumption and the lowest possible release of pollutants.
Technologically, therefore, the removal of polluting technologies and the introduction
of new "environmentally friendly" technologies are being sought.
Thus, the new industrial trend is to reduce the use of molded or forged semi finished
products and the introduction of cold rolled semi finished products or other processes.
This transformation can eliminate very high energy consumption and also reduces the
greenhouse effect.
In terms of joints, the use of welding technologies is being reduced and new methods
are found that have similar mechanical properties. There are known the brazing
technologies used since the 1980s for aluminum alloys. Thus, with low energy
consumption and the release of small amounts of harmful compounds in the
atmosphere, we obtain mechanical properties that are superior to welded cords.
This paper proposes an alternative to non-demountable classic aluminum alloy joining
by using two-component adhesive technology. From the point of view of energy
consumption and pollutant compounds we can classify this method as a "green
technology". Using a special surface preparation process and an optimal bicomponent
adhesive, we can achieve mechanical properties similar to welding technologies with
maximum yield.
