EFFECTS OF NITROGEN FERTILIZER APPLICATION RATE ON YIELD OF WINTER RAPESEED (BRASSICA NAPUS L.)

Rapeseed, one of the most important crops in the world, gained importance due to the use for food or industrial purposes. For obtaining high yields it is important to consider its requirements related to fertilization. The research was carried out in Ialomita County during the agricultural year 2015-2016, on cambic chernozem using two mid-early rapeseed hybrids: PR44DO6 and Harnas. The objectives of the research consisted in evaluation of the influence of mineral fertilization and hybrid on: rapeseed yield, average height of plant at harvest time, number of lateral branches per plant, number of siliques per plant and on seeds number per silique. It was developed a bifactorial experimental model, where a factor was rapeseed hybrids and b factor was mineral fertilization. It were adopted four fertilization schemes: DAP (18-46-0) 200 kg/ha (V1), DAP (18-46-0) 200kg/ha + CAN 200kg/ha (V2), DAP (18-46-0) 200kg/ha + CAN 450kg/ha (V3) and DAP (18-46-0) 200kg/ha + CAN 700 kg/ha (V4), where DAP and CAN are diammonium phosphate and calcium ammonium nitrate, respectively. The experimental results indicated that application of increasing doses of CAN determined significant increases of yield, higher for PR44DO6 in comparison with Harnas. Also, the values of all investigated parameters increased with fertilization. Among these, it is noteworthy the influence of fertilization on number of lateral branches per plant which contributed significantly to high yields. The results of the research emphasize the importance of fertilization on rapeseed to achieve high quality crops with high yields.
