This article summarizes the findings of extensive hydrogeological mapping that has taken place over the past few years. The area of the CSA mine is situated at the northern edge in the central part of the Most Basin (North Bohemia, The Czech Republic). The area of interest is divided into several hydrogeological units, which are characterized by mutually different main determinants such as morphology, lithological characterization of the main types of rocks, tectonic violation. These are the following units: the crystalline rocks, cretaceous sediments, neovulkanites, neogen sediments and quaternary sediments. Within the scope of the mentioned hydrogeological mapping, groundwater springs were located throughout the territory and their yield was measured. Physical-chemical analysis of water samples has been subject to significant groundwater springs. Part of this work is also an evaluation of long-term monitoring of groundwater in the area of interest. The results of the works contribute significantly to the understanding of the groundwater flow regime and the safe execution of mining work on the site.
