In this paper was studied areas affected by drought using Vegetation Condition Index (VCI). The analyze of drought was applied for Iasi county in areas where was notice vertical displacement. In this research, using Differential Radar Interferometry (DInSAR) technique, was detected and mapped ground displacement. DInSAR is a powerful tool to detect and monitor ground deformation. Ia?i county is considered as study area in this research. For this paper was used Sentinel SAR images, kindly provided by The European Space Agency (ESA), with vertical polarization (VV), ascending orbit and Interferometric Wide swath (IW) mode operated. VCI is based on Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). Drought is one of the most widespread and least understood natural phenomena. In this study was used remote sensing (RS) images, kindly provided by The European Space Agency (ESA), namely Sentinel-2 Multispectral Instrument (MSI). Wide areas was affected by slight drought. The most of these zones are in the north of Iasi County.
