Psychological research makes progress in associating personality traits with specific actions and behaviours, seeking individual differences in brain anatomy and physiology, in body functions and processes of self-regulation, sensation and perception, in information processing and thinking patterns, in behaviour and emotional regulation, in interpersonal interactions and many other psychological indicators.
Depending on the characteristics of the work environment, various psychological indicators are involved in rescue activity. The special conditions created by emergency situations cause changes of these indicators, either in order to mobilize internal resources, or to generate inadaptation phenomena as well as stress. The current paper is part of a wider project that aims to study changes in the psychological indicators of rescuers in correlation with the work environment and the use of bioresonance therapy to confute the effects of occupational stress. In this first step, presented in this paper, the project aims at identifying and analysing psychological indicators involved in the rescue activity as well as analysing the methods for measuring them, focusing on the latest techniques and technologies in the field. |
