The paper deals with the purchase and sale of electricity in companies like huge opencast brown coal mine. Regulation of electric energy usage is still an underrated component of automatization equipment in some companies. If good energy regulation methods are being used, not only financial saving will be achieved, but also energy supply and distribution system quality will get better. This article describes one of the most important systems for saving money and effectively managing the use of electricity in the mining organization. It covers in detail possible ways of monitoring and controlling the performance of large excavators and thereby influencing the technological processes of mining, precisely in connection with expended economic resources. It describes the energetic demands of individual technological units of the company and the effort to not exceed the contracted technical maximum. Choosing the best way to avoid putting an unnecessary limit on the mining is not an easy task.
