Mass continuity equation along with dynamic equilibrium equation or Darcy equation, and one of the state equation defines the fundamental system of equations which describes the fluid flow, particularly, the gas flow through a porous and permeable formation. Converting the mass continuity equation for single phase fluid into a volumetric equation that can be applied for the entire reservoir or partially, represents the starting point in elaboration of mathematical models for gas well performance evaluation. Mathematical models provides useful information about cumulative gas production, recovery factor, abandonment pressure etc. This article will integrate mathematical models and associated concepts to evaluate the performance of a natural gas reservoir based on multiple and complex analysis, respectively production data of the biggest gas production company from Romania.
