The flysch Carpathians presents geological medium that is especially difficult for deep recognizing with use of geophysical methods. Complex geological structure of folded orogeny and connected with it distribution of physical parameters generate ambiguous and frequently unreadable seismic image. In such circumstances looking for independent support for geological interpretation of seismic sections is purposeful, for example using magnetotelluric data. Magnetotelluric measurements were carried out along the selected fragments of seismic lines in the area of Sol, located in west part of polish outer Carpathian. Advanced data processing was made and static shift correction was applied based on results of shallow vertical electrical soundings. The magnetotelluric sounding curves were interpreted with use of 1D and 2D inverse modeling procedures. Resistivity cross-sections obtained as the result of 2D inversion were used for geological analysis and interpretation as well as for corrections of seismic data processing and interpretation
