The demand for natural resources and the associated need for drilling works will continue to grow. This is mainly due to turbulence in the markets for trade and transmission of raw materials by pipelines between countries. In addition, the aim is to become independent from external supplies. Growing demand for natural resources (petroleum, natural gas, shale gas, etc.) will increase the volume of drilling works. They interfere directly with the environment at their place of performance. Through the use of new technological solutions while drilling, the impact of drilling at the place of their execution is reduced. One way to reduce drilling time is to select drilling tools based on the new indicator of drilling efficiency, TSE (Total Specific Energy). This indicator takes into account the three aspects of drilling energy consumption. Consideration is given to the energy of progressive motion, rotational motion and also - the hydraulic energy of drilling [5]. There is also an increase in the economic indicators of drilling. Reducing drilling time will allow for faster land reclamation and restoration prior to drilling.
