The work is devoted to the investigation of the viscous properties of a nanostructured additive based on sevilene, as well as the evaluation of its structure by the method of IR Fourier spectroscopy on the Shimadzu IR Prestige-21 Fourier spectrometer.
The structure of agglomerates of the additive is proposed, which consists of a core-nano-sized particle of aluminum oxide bound to polymers (sevilene) by associative bonds. In this case, a partial restructuring of vinyl acetate units occurs. The absorption band of 1377 cm-1 of the deformation vibration of the CH3 group in the vinyl acetate structure shifts to the absorption band region of 1369 cm-1, which indicates the restructuring of the vinyl acetate units in the final product, the carboxyl group is retained, as evidenced by the intensity of the absorption band in the 1238 cm-1 region. In the selected technological parameters of the compounding of the additive based on low molecular weight polyethylene on IR spectra, there are no absorption bands for the formation of new structures, which indicates a physical mixing of the original components. The additive based on sevilene, including nano-sized particles of Al2O3 has a significant efficiency in reducing the dynamic viscosity in the temperature range from 20 °C to -10 °C. The effect of reducing the viscosity for oil at a temperature of 20 °C is 66.67 %. At a temperature of 10 °C ? 33 %, at a temperature of 0 °C - 0%, at a temperature of -5 ° - 12.5 % and at a temperature of -10 °C - 33.3 %. |
