The paper?s aim is to describe the proposed semantic approach and its key features. In the proposed semantic approach interface is a visualization of system meaning in accordance with the user?s idea. User?s idea in this case is a complex system of notions, activities and operations, that user keeps in mind while he performs his professional functions. Existing interfaces of information systems, that support user?s professional activity, contain many shortcomings. And that fact leads to the inconveniences of interaction with such interface and long time of learning how to interact with it. So it is needed to visualize only that part of system meaning which user demands in every concrete situation, in every concrete action. And the proposed semantic approach is aimed to the development of method of creation interfaces which will be based on user actions, so they will be clear and easy to use for the user. To allow user to select those parts of system that are needed to be visualized in the interface, it is necessary to create a software tool that would allow the user to adjust the interface to suit his needs (according to meaning of user activities that is presented in the form of mechanisms of action).
Analysis of the proposed semantic approach is made relatively to others approaches of user interface development. As the result of this analysis the main differences between these approaches were isolated, as well as main causes of these differences were distinguished. |
