In industrial power installations are encountered situations on the connection of inductive circuits to alternating voltage sources. These operations are accompanied by the occurrence of specific transitory regimes after which might occur over-voltages peaks which can become hazardous for the components of the circuit. The assessment of these over-voltages and of other specific electrical parameters represents the purpose of this paper. The measurement method is based on the usage of a data acquisition system produced by National Instruments, and the software used is LabView. For various inductivity values of the connected circuit are drawn up the diagrams on the variation of inductive power and instantaneous power dissipated over the coil. In the paper?s introduction is presented the theoretical phenomenon, from an analytical point of view, whose elements are ideal. Experimental measurements are performed with real elements, where the supply cable has a non-zero capacity. Thus, there are highlighted the differences which occur between the two situations. In the real case, due to capacities which occur between the elements of the circuit and the capacity of the supply conductors, small oscillations in the voltage?s curve occur during the commutation process, depending on the circuit?s time constant. These oscillating over-voltages are accompanied by changes in the curve of instantaneous power dissipated over the coil. In order to achieve these measurements, there has been designed an interfaces circuit which is presented in the paper.
