The nature of the soil?s foundation bears a major influence on the time behavior of a building. Geotechnical studies are chosen based on the appropriate constructive methods for the terrain situation. There are however, cases where, even if the constructive solutions are adopted accordingly with the conclusions of prior studies, due to an inadequate approach in the achieving process of these studies, there are deformations that occur in the structure of the constructions, that affect their exploitation process of said constructions.This paper presents the case of a production hall in which the floor began to present areas with differentiated compactions, phenomenon that has hindered the production activity and it has also imposed the process of taking additional measures to ensure safety in the exploitation.The already started tracking process was performed with specific geodetic methods and was conducted over several cycles of observations carried under similar conditions. The processing of the observations was preceded by calculations verifying the leveling network, for each specific cycle.The data obtained showed that not only the floor showed areas with uneven compactions, but also the pillars of the strength structure showed uneven compaction values between the cases that were recorded. This fact revealed a interdependence between the amount of the current compaction (per observation cycle) and climatic conditions (humidity and temperature).
