|
|
Dynamic social development results in growing demands for sustainable human activities. Implementation of the sustainable development ideas should be also applied in designing and development of commercial sites. The sustainable construction industry should improve the quality of operations performed by users of such facilities. It should also influence the level of satisfaction of their users and generate benefits for them and for the local society within the area where such facilities have been located.
The paper will present the possibilities to implement the sustainable development ideas in commercial construction industry during the process of planning the development of the urban spaces in Warszawa. The paper will also analyse solutions in the field of designing and construction of commercial facilities, known as "green" or "ecological" buildings developed using the energy saving technology, as well as the process of certification of selected examples in Warszawa. |
