Information in the public real estate management is very important. This affects, among others, rational decision-making. Lack of sufficient information may cause that the decisions that have been already taken will be considered as deficient. The scope of required information depends mainly on the stage of the process of real estate management and its purpose.
Management processes are entwined with the geodetic service of real estate management. Therefore, there is always a change of information about the land in terms of factual situation (concerning identification of real estate) and legal situation (when the legal status of the real estate changes). The aim of the paper is to show the role of information and the sources of its obtainment in the process of public real estate management. The case study method was presented. Municipal real estate sale procedure was used in order to give some examples what information is needed and what sources contain it. The analysis gives an opportunity to point out the importance of information in real estate management process. |
