The terrestrial scanning technology allows collecting data about an object and using it to create a 3D image of the object and then analyse it in a variety of ways, e.g. by performing an evaluation of the technical condition of a building or by diagnosing different irregularities or damages to its structure. The usefulness of such data depends, to a large extent, on the method and accuracy of the measurements. This article presents a test illustrating the relationship between different types of multicolor samples and the intensity of a laser beam reflection. The results were edited using the Leica Cyclone programme, in which the parameter values were measured and presented in the form of the so-called intensity maps.
