Protected areas have been created to limit or remove the man and nature harmful intervention on the existing flora and fauna. The research work has been focused on a protected area from Dobrogea, where there is an acute need for intervention, in order to save the existing rare species of plants. A permanent monitoring of the evolution of these species and other floral species must be done permanently, to see the effect of invasive species on rare ones. Effective monitoring of the studied area has been carried out using GIS technology. GIS application contains a geospatial database, which include information about flora and soil as well as a graphic support with spatial position of each species and protected area boundary. The study area was measured using GNSS technology combined with total stations, for elements of detail. Spatial position and rare floral species of the invasive, were determined by technology GNSS. GIS platform used on the project monitoring was Autodesk Map 3D 2015. GIS attribute data of the application were introduced in a data base created in the platform give Microsoft Access, database that was connected to Autodesk Map 3D 2016 platform. Spatial database will be updated regularly with information resulting from the monitoring and measurement.
