Brief introduction on the use of GNSS technology in various fields of activity (surveying, agriculture, environmental protection, etc.) and the use of the Romanian Position Determination System (ROMPOS) in determining the various types.Next we present the use of GNSS technology and ROMPOS, in general, and their usefulness in identifying parcels, especially in the acquisition of data necessary for positioning and delimiting them.The enhanced precision identification process leads to correct decisions in making payments for intervention in agriculture and eliminating problems and ambiguities, these issues being eliminated by using ROMPOS and GNSS.These two modern systems are used in the study and resolution of problems arising in various areas where identification must be accurate and where there should be no real or virtual duplication of plots which are already tabulated in the Land Registry. This ultimately leads to rapid decisions in fixing any issues that may occur. Finally, we shall present some general and particular conclusions for the area that will be found in the case study (a village in Maramure? County), regarding the use of GNSS technology and ROMPOS in identify parcels that are the subject of APIA.
