Nowadays, there are plenty of High Tatras maps interested in the problematic of toponym. They contain more or less detailed nomenclature of High Tatras, but lots of this maps are incomplete or they lack Polish or Slovak part of High Tatras. One of the biggest problems in each toponymal map is incomplicity and missing complexity of data. The second biggest problem is the huge amount of data in relatively small area. The paper aims with the creation of compact toponymal map of High Tatras, not only for the area of Slovakia, but for area of Poland as well. The bases in Poland are deficient. Through the creation of map was necessary to face the problems such as difference with names in foreign languages or incomplete of map base. In the past, there have been frequent changes in local nomenclature, depending on the current official language of country or according to the current political order. The creation of georeferenced toponymal map is difficult not only from the view of the processing but from the view of data completing as well.
