The fast pace at which decisions are made today, demand near-instant visibility for all the assets. In such a demanding environment, the management of a campus that hosts over 4000 students every year, in the most crowded city of Romania, is by all means a challenge. The emerging of the UAV technology provides insight into facility management, assuring asset inventories, spatial context and strategy for further investments and activities. The workflow described in this paper starts with acquiring data in the field, data processing, orthophoto generation, DTM & DSM generation. Further, data are integrated into a GIS environment and enriched with other existing sets of data, in order to leverage operational efficiency, improved decisions and planning. Old surveys and topographic maps are used also, in order to follow the different changes that took place along the time inside the campus. Analogic and digital data are gathered in the GIS environment. The resulted products serve to assure resource distribution where are needed and to design and explore various scenarios of development.
