Evolution and development of landslides is influenced by a number of natural factors (soil, geological substrate, relief, climate, vegetation etc.) and anthropogenic factors (deforestation, overloading of land with constructions, inadequate meteoric waters drain, artificial undermining of slopes-embankments for roads etc.). In this paper we propose to analyze the causes of landslides that affected the county road DJ 585 located in Visag area, Caras-Severin county limit, and also to issuing technical solutions for stabilizing and consolidation to the landslide and affected road infrastructure. The lands affected by landslides in Timis county represent about 5.8% of the nationwide sliding lands, including plastic muddy flows and subsidence in various stages of their evolution [1]. From the total land area of Timis county, about 14% is represented by lands with stabilized and semi-stabilized landslides and about 2% is represented by lands with active landslides. Followed geotechnical investigation, we concluded that the main cause of the sliding is the large amount of water supplied by both coastal springs and precipitation. Presence of water in the earth packages of clayey dusts, dusty clays and sand dusts soils caused the reduction in value of shear strength parameters leading to the production of sliding. A determining factor in producing the landslides is also, the poor evacuation of phreatic water and precipitations as well as deforestation of forest belt (Robinia pseudacacia) on the slope area. We analyzed various solutions of protection and consolidation of landslides from the researches area by collecting rainwater from the slope, thus reducing the water effects on the slope, but also technical solutions for the affected road area by redesigning the road and repositioning it toward the opposite side of sliding, by placing closed horizontal drains in road with direction almost perpendicular to the road axis, and by waterproofing the road carriageway.
