The theme of this article is analysis of the reinforced concrete arc bridge structure. This article is especially focused on Monier arc bridge. A typical load applied on bridges is moving load, but this type of structure is mainly loaded with surrounding ground mass. It is fact, that for thicker layer of soil mass upper the arc decreases influence of moving load and conversely. Information in the article are based on experience gained during completely reconstruction of particular structures. Span of the bridge is 18.5 meters and a rise of 2.0 meters. The unique design parameter is small thickness of the arch, which was designed in a peak of arch 400 millimetres. New parts of bridge foundation are supported with micropiles. The article gives a one possible description how to create a finite element numerical model, which also takes into account the effects of surrounding subsoil. For modelling is used static software Scia Engineer. Numerical model consists of plate finite elements, plate end release and point spring boundaries. This method contributed for sufficiently accurate and safety design of bridge cross-section and construction details. The design of structure corresponding to current applicable standards - Eurocodes.
