The effectiveness of the application of ultrathin grinding during processing of man-made raw materials (stale tails) of the Kazakhstan concentrator is shown. According to the results of rational analysis, gold is found in rock-forming minerals in finely dispersed form (28.2%), is associated with the crystal lattice of the carrier mineral (13.3%), free and in the form of intergrowths with ore components (26.6%) and fine-grained in rock-forming minerals (31.9%). In flotation enrichment of man-made raw materials in a closed cycle, extraction of gold into concentrate under optimal conditions amounted to 68.86%. For the production of the flotation concentrate the most optimal are: the grinding size of 95% of the class is 0.040 mm for 20 minutes, while the concentrate yield is 4.64% with a gold content of 4.9 g/t. In the chemical oxidation of the resulting concentrate (calcium hypochlorite) followed by cyanidation, gold recovery reached 71.9%. Based on the experiments in a closed loop, an instrumentation-technological scheme for processing man-made mineral raw materials of the concentrating factory was developed.
