In order to determine the impact on the working environment and the effects of pollutants on human operators, numerous measurements were made using an experimental stand in a forge, machine building, equipped with heating furnaces, treatment furnaces, mechanical presses, oxyacetylene flame cutting equipment and mechanical saws.
The paper presents the equation of technological material balance with inputs and outputs corresponding to the process of hot forging of different semi-finished products and the main pollutant emissions and by-products resulting from the process of forging process. The impact on the working environment was determined by calculating a significant pollution factor with an original relationship that allows to determine the polluting effects on air, water and soil. Measurements and determinations made during a 8 hours working time were conducted under normal conditions, taking samples from work areas where human operators are activating. Concentrations of inhalable powders, aerosols and fumes of various metals were measured, resulting in concentrations of nitrogen oxides, carbon oxides, iron oxide formaldehyde concentration and xylene concentrations. Measurements have also been made on measurements of noise during the working process. The paper also presents several methods of preventing and reducing pollution in forging sections. |
