In the article the results of research of variable humidity of CO2/N2 gas mixture (simulating power exhausts) influence on the parameters of CO2 separation are presented. The capillary polymer membrane AMS-A2 UBE was applied in the study. The paper indicates, results of the experiment where influence of variable (in the range of 0?100% H2O) humidity on a membrane was investigated
Research was performed on the membrane used to dehumidify air - Air Dryer AMS-A2, utilized earlier to identify the ability of the CO2 separation. This membrane met criteria on the acceptable level and therefore examinations were continued in this direction. Earlier studies were performed with gasses dust-free and dry gases of different CO2 concentrations. Thus, current research was conducted with gas containing the moisture. Research was aimed to check the possibility of the CO2 separation from gases simulating the exhaust fumes, stating a result of the natural gas and coal burning in power plants. They conducted a test as the continuation by preserving the constant pressure of the feed and changeable streams of the flow. Determination of the influence of the moisturized gas on the membranes of this type work , considering CO2 separation from exhaust gases of the power plants with the CO2 maximum content in gas mixtures of 20% was the main aim of research. . In these studies gas mixture of composition 20% CO2 and 80% N2 was used.
