At the time of commencement of the documentation and investigation activity on the problem of critical statuses of the tailings dump and decanting ponds at Rosia Montana, with special reference to the decanting ponds ?Valea Seli?tei?, the subject, respectively the studied area presented a accelerated dynamic as regards the degradation of the environmental components.
Information gathered from the technical and environmental documentation prepared in previous years and a site visit revealed an extremely precarious state of the decanting pond, in terms of safety. The closing and greening of the ?Valea Seli?tei? decanting pond is made to ensure the general stability of the pond, of the additional constructions, as well as integration into the environment of areas occupied by the sterile deposits. Thus, in view of closing and greening of the decanting pond ?Valea Seli?tei?, Abrud, Alba county they were performed topographical survey such as: topographical survey of the areal, the data processing, drawing up the situation plans, the calculation of the deposited volumes, the realization of the 3D models. By closing and greening of the decanting pond ?Valea Seli?tei? is ensured its stability and the safety of the residents, the environmental protection and population health. |
