The aim of this paper is to thermo-analytically study the process of heat generation during flame and flameless combustion of lignocellulos pellets dust made from various types of raw materials. The heat release rate of the test samples was measured by a cone calorimeter. Different heat fluxes (30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 kW.m-2) were used to determine the behaviour of three different types of lignocellulose pellets dust under a thermal load. The mass loss and the time to ignition was continuously monitored during each experiment. Also the concentrations of CO2, CO and O2 were measured during combustion. It also presents the basic characteristics of the pellets obtained by various laboratory analysis. Values of average released heat were observed between 58.16 MJ.m-2 and 79.83 MJ.m-2. The highest maximum released heat was achieved by the sample A (lignocellulose pellets containing grass) ? 243.46 MJ.m-2 in the 15th second of the test under the thermal load of 50 kW.m-2. Also the highest total amount of released heat was recorded during combustion of the sample A ? 66.15 MJ.m-2 under 40 kW.m-2.
