In the article provided assessment of water supply sufficiency of agricultural lands of South Kazakhstan which is the region of pasturable livestock farming and irrigated crop farming. The regional specific of irrigation of pasturable land and arable land is described, the sources of water supply are determined and their technical condition is estimated, the territories where irrigation of agricultural lands assessed as critical are detected. The solution of such tasks will allow to work out scientifically justified system of actions to minimize loses of water by irrigation, to improve ecological-meliorative condition of pasturable ecosystems and irrigative areas and that is going to contribute to increase of natural resources potential and agricultural production in the region. The developed author?s model of Map of water supply sufficiency of agricultural lands of South Kazakhstan reflects the laws of spatial distribution of water sources, their qualitative characteristic and represents the base of effective use of lands for agricultural production. The research was made on the basis of mathematical development of statistic data with the use of methods of field mapping, development of satellite images with the use of GIS technologies and complex of methods of thematic maps creation.
