The conceptual approach to the restoration of natural ecosystems (ecological restoration) is to use the idea of adaptive systemic organization of ecosystems, as the driving force of evolution is targeted adaptation of ecosystems, based on feedback, towards enhancing their viability and sustainability. On the basis of the principle of information unity of natural and engineering systems considering natural ecosystems as information-driven and environment conditions as controlling factors, an algorithm for adaptive technologies for the restoration of disturbed lands of mining landscapes has been developed in accordance with the concept of natural soil-formation, according to which the soil is a product of rock interaction, biota, climate, relief and time. The creation of sown gramineous phytocenosis without applying a topsoil layer results in biologically active habitat which ensures quick generation of biogenic-humus-accumulative horizon and much faster formation of phytocenosis having the structure of surrounding natural landscape than to self-restoration, which characterizes the restoration of natural ecosystems. In order to support decision-making in the restoration of disturbed lands of mining landscapes by generation of biologically active habitat, an informational-analytical system has been developed. The system includes databases of disturbed lands state and factors limiting their self-restoration; ways to optimize a bio-production process, and monitoring of lands to be restored. Feedbacks within the conceptual ecological restoration approach are provided by monitoring data on the restored lands by adjusting the ways of optimizing the bio-production process based on the information-analytical system (IAS) data. The information-analytical system integrates a complex of methods for automated data processing and implements interaction of functional modules (databases, algorithms and data processing programs, geoinformation components), linking them with unified informational flows. This ensures the opportunity to promptly adjust the methods for optimizing the bio-production process. For remote personalized access to the information system data on a dedicated server, a user Web application has been designed that implements the means of collecting, storing, processing monitoring data and visualizing analytical information.
