The article emphasizes that the important features of sustainable development in its multifaceted nature. It refers to a number of sciences, including economics (including logistics and transport), social and natural. The idea of sustainable development is integrated at the stage of planning, implementing and controlling infrastructure projects. The basic purpose of infrastructure projects is to balance the fundamental elements of the system that shape the future of the human society on earth: the environment, society and economy; so that the development of one element does not pose a threat to others. The regional authorities should be the initiator of the development of a sustainable logistic network and model and control it, taking into account the needs of specific economic sectors, the society of the region and its environment. Due to the small number of practical examples of deliberate shaping of regional logistic networks, the article highlights the need for changes in regional policy. The subject of the study of this article was to present selected methods of modelling transport-logistic network for the sustainable development of the region and methods of assessing the impact of infrastructure projects on economic growth and other effects such as environmental protection.
