Passage form the idea to market is a long journey, which if it is appropriately planned, may bring satisfaction and success. On the other hand, implementation new technology on the market give a risk of grave errors committing at the stage of planning. The procedure of transfer may end with fiasco, even though the concepts were really innovative and interesting. In this paper determinants of geothermal water deironing technology commercialization has been presented. The developed technology has been not breakthrough innovation but it based on the assumptions of natural groundwater treatment processes wherein process of oxidizing dissolved divalent iron to iron trivalent has been used. Thus trivalent iron has been discarded from the water through the sedimentation or/and filtration processes. During the laboratory research technology known on the market has been adapted to difficult geothermal waters condition. The analysis undertaken by the author suggests that in light of the study prerequisites, the technology may be success fully implemented due to the fact that the technology solve real problems, bears some features of innovativeness and in the meantime is connected with renewable energy sources.
