The objective of the article was to identify eco-innovations and logistical processes to which eco-innovations are implemented. The article presents the quantitative methods of assessing the impact of logistic processes on the environment, which are also used for eco-design of processes in ecology. In the article the following methods were described: process assessment in supply chain GreenSCOR, LCA, MIPS, OPM. The research objective of the article was to evaluate the impact of the selected logistic process on the environment before and after using the innovative solution. Performing the research the following were selected: - a company belonging to the supply chain in the automotive industry, - the transport process carried out by this company (according to the SCOR - Supply Chain Operations Reference), - eco-innovation implemented in the selected process, - metrics for assessing the impact of the process on the environment - amount of carbon footprint left (kg CO2). The detailed objective of the study was to evaluate the "carbon footprint" before and after applying innovative eco-innovation solution. The research was conducted on companies with ISO 9001: 2008 certificates implemented and with defined processes. The study used the methodology of intelligence technique, which was conducted on the managers of the TSL industry. Based on the research it was found that the implementation of eco-innovation in the transportation process reduced the carbon footprint. The results of the study show entrepreneurs the measurable effects of implementing eco-innovation. This article contributes to the understanding of the need to implement ecological innovations.
