Drilling fluid significantly affects all technological operations in the process of deposit drilling and completion. The main task done by the drilling fluid is providing proper drilling and cleaning of the hole bottom from cuttings as well equilibration of the rock mass pressure, cooling and cleaning the drill bits.
Moreover the drilling fluid should minimize the damage to the permeability of productive deposits in the near-well zone and maintain stability of the wellbore walls. For providing the correct protection of deposit in the productive zone the drilling fluid forms a filter cake. The cake should have low permeability and minimum thickness.
The results of investigations on the effects of hydrophilic and hydrophobic nanosilicas and graphene oxide on physicochemical properties of drilling fluids used for completion of productive deposits drilling are presented in the paper. Such properties as microstructure, kinetic of test fluids spread over the surface and roughness of filtrate cake were determined.
