Passive houses primarily belong to the category of buildings with very low energy consumption for object heating. Their overall energy performance is affected by a number of indicators, including in particular: solution of building structures and details on boundary of building heated space, characteristics of used materials and the choice of opening fillings. In the initial design phase of the building it is necessary to ensure maximum utilization of solar gains and internal gains from people and appliances. However, due to climatic conditions in Central Europe, we also have to use sophisticated systems of heating and forced ventilation. For these systems is then always necessary to assess their effectiveness and feasibility in the specific case. At present, the number of builders who are interested in a site of environmental protection in connection with elected structure system and materials for passive houses, is growing. Energy-efficient building structures and used heating systems can substantially contribute to the necessary reduction of carbon dioxide emissions ? and thus to protect the earth's atmosphere. The paper describes the assessment of heating system alternatives applicable in house of passive character with respect to the environment and long-term economic viewpoint.
