The main theme of this article is a problem of storing underground utilities in different types of country. Supply services must meet dissimilar requirements for placing in rural or in the urban zone and respect all limits, which are binding in the known area. Technical security of urban settlement is a significant part of today's modern society, as is the flawless and reliable operation of water, energy and telecommunications networks. They all are a commonplace in each urbanized land and have an important impact on the living standards of the population. The paper describes methods for storage used in the past, currently used approach, demands for a high level of functionality and minimize the risk of disruption of supply. It also covers effective and economical options for reconstruction of existing utility lines and research in new technologies. Another important section is a prevention of different types of disorders that depend primarily on a detailed survey of the site, choosing the appropriate material, the right design, the subsequent implementation in the field, as well as the operational monitoring of the whole system. Moreover, there is an evaluation of the supply systems with their negative effect on the environment and the effort to protect its values, whether environmental, cultural or civilizational. In conclusion, it valorizes the overall importance of technical infrastructure, as it has eminent influence in the strategy of area planning and the guarantee of sustainable development of a territory.
