The majority Hungarian higher educational institutions provide residences for students, but the regulatory framework does not provide guidelines for planning processes nor the design and engineering of university residences, including a quality-perceptual evaluation conducted directly by the future users and focused on the project?s quality. The assessment of the quality of a university residence project would be a key element to check the results of the project proposal with reference to the needs expressed by those who intend to use the building. In order to provide an evaluation method consistent with the abovementioned objectives, the paper proposes a collaborative, multi-dimensional and inclusive evaluation procedure based on the proactive participation of the future users of the building.
