Phosphorus is the most important biogenous element that is fundamentally necessary for biological reproduction in all its forms. The occurrence of phosphorus, in the Earth?s crust like carbon, is an example of geochemical relations. Approximately 170 known phosphor minerals in nature. The basic supplies of phosphorus in the earth crust concentrates in apatite that bonds about 95% of the total quantity of phosphorus in the lithosphere. Phosphates - of world production (80%) comes from sedimentary deposits. We have knowledge on the more or less random occurrence of sedimentary phosphorites in Slovakia, in mesozoic of the Eastern Carpathian Mountains. Increased occurrence of P2O5 was detected during deposit research of cementite raw materials on Kolinansky Peak, in mesozoic limestones and in neogene clays discovered in the village Hostova and in the saddleback between Kolinansky Peak and Zibrica. In the course of extensive overburden removals of stone quarry on the west from Kolinansky Peak (in cadastre of Kolinany) have been found residual sediments of neozoic age filling the karst funnels in base Triassic limestones. This paper presents obtained analyses of data that were observed during the above-mentioned research. The average value PO43- from all the soil extracts was equalling to 20 mg.kg-1 (1 mg PO43- = 0.744 mg P2O5). It is more content than the surrounding environment. This fact indicates migration and accumulation of P2O5 in karst funnels. We exclude the possibility of soil migration. The higher content of carbonates is genetically tied to the lithological environment. The phosphorus accumulations in residual sediments of diluvial age have not been described in Slovakia so far. The primary source of phosphorus can be an intense production of organic material (bones of the vertebrates, bird droppings) in the sedimentation area of the Danube basin near the southern edge of Tribec.
