Oxidized ferruginous quartzites are located within BIF deposits of the Precambrian iron-siliceous formation. They form thick layers, which overlap magnetite quartzite varieties - basic minerals for mining and processing enterprises. Oxidized ore bodies are located in the lower parts of section of weathered rocks and their thickness varies from the first tens to hundreds of meters increasing from north to south along the Kryvyi Rih structure.
Main questions of commercial significance definition of oxidized ferruginous quartzites were examined. Data of geological, mining, technological studying were analyzed. We have evaluated reserves of oxidized ferruginous quartzites for use with magnetic and gravitation methods in conditions of existing mining enterprises. It was defined that commercial significance of this type of iron ores depends on not only existence of enrich technologies but cost price of production and quality of iron concentrate. At the same time cost of lands that use for oxidized quartzites storage has a particular significance. Not sufficient quality and output of iron concentrate, increasing of investment for mining and processing can cause a loss
