This paper is about the reconfiguration of a simple radio frequency (RF) front-end transceiver belonging to an embedded system applied in the automotive industry, inside of the remote keyless entry (RKE) and part of the tire-pressure monitoring (TPMS) system on a car. The main concern of this article is to reduce volume and complexity as well as a lower radiation. The new product must keep the same at least the same RF performances or even higher ones in some situations. We also perform an impedance analysis for reception, in terms of performance versus costs. Most of the simulations are carried out on a real model. All of them could be used for a new dedicated antenna. The advantages of this new transceiver are: low radiation emission, low air pollution (when applied on the tires of a car, it could result a lower fuel consumption). This paper is also a good starting point for all telecommunication issues belonging to embedded systems. It could be also applied to any remote control device in any domain (surveillance, GIS or other).
