The analysis of extensive seismological databank of one of deep mines of Norilsk?Talnakh polymetals deposits was performed to assess the shock hazard statement of rock massifs.
The kinematic parameter is proposed for estimation of shock hazard of rock massifs which is based on kinematic characteristics of seismic processes. This parameter is the ratio of the migration speed of the equivalent seismic energy release center and the apparent speed of the aftershocks of individual large seismic events within the controlled areas of stress concentration of mine fields.
The minimum value of this parameter characterizes the state of the controlled section of the rock mass as the shock hazard state. The most significant seismic events energy are occurring during these time periods, and as the result the rock mass releases the accumulated energy. After that the value of kinematic parameter increases and the state of controlled area become non?hazardous.
Verification of proposed kinematic parameter based on seismic information from ?Skalistaya? pit of ?Komsomolsky? mine of Norilsk polymetals deposit during the period 2015?2017 years have demonstrated, that the ratio of the kinematic characteristics of seismic processes can be used as the criterion of shock hazard of controlled areas of rock massifs with a high degree of reliability.
