The safety conditions of the underground works carried out for the coal mining process are ensured by longwall supports. The particularities of the system of hydraulic powered roof supports are given by structure of the supporting component, by the pumping station and respectively by the operating liquid and the length of the wall the activity of which needs to be ensured.
The pumping stations used for the supply of the roof supports, also called hydraulic assemblies, are composed of: the oil in water tank, the pumping assembly, nominal pressure regulation and one way valves, a hydraulic flow discharge automaton from the pump to the tank, a pressure sensor and a hydro-pneumatic accumulator, all being connected to the main pressure supply pipe of the roof support; the effect of this structure being the conservation of a constant pressure within the main supply pipe, the flow in the main pipe being thus determined by the supply from the hydraulic assembly, respectively from the accumulator. The parameters and the operation of the accumulator influences the operation frequency of the flow discharge automaton, the flow in the main supply pipe being in direct connection to the duration of the charge-discharge cycle of the accumulator. The paper deals with the assessment and analysis of the operation of the hydro-pneumatic accumulator as well as its role in supplying the required flow to the hydraulic assemblies for the supply of the powered roof supports. |
