Steel industry has a huge impact on the environment and the air, in particular, producing thousands of tons of gases, including blast furnace gas, gases from oxygen converter processes, coke industry gases, ferroalloy industry gases. Due to this fact, the removal of gas impurities is essential nowadays. In this paper we did the literary analysis of how to remove sulfur impurities from air emissions using different types of sorbing agents. This paper contains the researches about sorption of impurities using zeolites, activated carbon and a variety of manganese ores, also their capacities and other characteristics are compared. Different adsorption units are observed as well as the optimal temperatures, pressure and gas flow rates.
