The article presents the results of the analysis of the dependence of the effectiveness of requests submitted to scientific competitions from the criteria for their evaluation. Statistics of requests submitted to external competitions from ITMO University was obtained from the implemented automated system for requests recording. This system performs the functions of formation of the register of requests of the organization, and also allows to check the requests for their compliance with the requirements of the selected competition. For each request, the system records thematic information on the request, information about the manager, participants and the result. The analysis made it possible to identify the main groups of criteria for evaluating the request that have the greatest impact on its effectiveness. In order to obtain characteristics related to the experience of the project team members, in addition to information on requests, information on already completed projects was also used. These characteristics were considered both separately by the manager and by all participants to identify the dependence of the influence of the experience of the manager and the team on the result of the request. The results obtained can be used to generate a forecast of the effectiveness of requests submitted by the organization
