According to statistical studies, a large number of IT projects end in failure. One of the rea-sons is the complexity of transferring the originally inherent meaning into the system.
As you know, any project should be implemented and should be understood by the performer. According to researchers, the cause of the current situation is the inconsistency of the form (meaning) of the target system, which arises due to a misunderstanding between the actors involved in the development at different life cycle stages. This problem arises because of the inconsistency of the forms (artifacts: project document, specification or model) used by the specialists to represent the system (meaning). In this case, the meaning is understood as the collection of artifacts and the process of their obtaining. Existing implementations on the development of the system form or meaning relate to the field of architectural design. Analysis of existing approaches to architectural design shows that the basis of the approaches is the notion of the ?final result? in the form of an artifact. And the meaning that is formed inside the specialists (the process of receiving, i.e. design) is not displayed in any form. Consequently, a problem arises, which consists in disunity and the following differences in the goals and forms of meaning representation among different groups (domain experts, system analysts, developers, etc.) involved in the project and the emergence of so-called ?misunderstanding gaps?. The article proposes solutions to the indicated problems by incorporating into the existing architecture models the tools for creating (the design process) artifacts. To test the results, the proposed structure of artifact creation tools was applied to the Zach-man model. The result is a methodologically interconnected architecture model. Based on the results obtained, an assessment of the meaning mapping is made in the resulting model. |
