The article presents an information system for monitoring and managing the quality of medical devices (apparatus, equipment, tools) in medical institutions in order to ensure effective and high-quality diagnosis and treatment of patients.
To develop the structure of the information system, the stages of the life cycle of medical devices in a medical institution are considered on the example of the Central City Hospital No. 2 named after A.A. Mislavskiy of Yekaterinburg city, Russia. Personal account cards, maintenance and inspection logs of medical devices were analyzed. Based on the analysis of these primary data, information objects were identified for inclusion in the system, including a list of necessary technical and other relevant documentation.
The functionality of the system allows:
? To conduct continuous monitoring of the quantity and technical condition of the operated medical devices of a separate division or medical institution as a whole;
? To systematize medical devices by categories of technical condition (period of use, degree of wear, information about the repairs and maintenance carried out);
? To provide timely repair, maintenance, replacement of components and blocks, in order to avoid downtime of medical devices;
? In a timely manner to decommission medical devices that have expired in accordance with the technical documentation for them.
In general, the system allows, without significant financial expenditures, to carry out effective monitoring of the state of medical devices in a medical institution with the aim of ensuring high standards of medical services.
