In terms of the port development, the challenge of our days is to create ecosystems, communities of interest and practices that will do the ports smarter and more attractive. The analysis we have done shows us that, if the port administration wants more efficient traffic management it is possible to achieve only by interlinking the information and communication systems. Nowadays, the possibilities of implementing the own digital systems in order to have a realistic data monitoring and to anticipate the changes, in order to take the best decisions, to improve processes and to be more efficient and cleaner, are available to anyone.
The objective of the work is to show the importance of implementing the "smartPORT" concept and to present the difficulties faced by the ports in accessing the innovative systems. In this direction, we have postulated the possibilities to achieve the new trend in the ports digitalization. The work aims to contribute to the understanding of the importance of accessing and developing the port community system. |
