One of the main problems of creating information management systems in various fields of knowledge is a long development period.
This problem is caused by a number of factors:
? heterogeneity of data at each stage of the life cycle of the information system;
? use of various means of describing data;
? different and diverse levels of detail description of information about each of the stages of the life cycle;
? large labor costs, in case of adjustments and modifications of information system.
All the factors listed above rises the main problem - the complexity of integrating the stages of the life cycle.There are several approaches to solving these problems. The first approach is to attempt to systematize and organize the stages of the life cycle. The next approach to solving these problems is the development of various standardized languages (UML), methods (SADT) and tools (CASE) for describing the models of life cycle stages of the information system. Integration of the life cycle stages is ensured by the disciplines of configuration management and changes and organizational measures for project management performed in accordance with the accepted project management standard. Widely distributed was the direction associated with the formation of a repository of standard solutions in a specific subject area in the form of a set of basic modules. This direction corresponds to the modular principle of creating systems and building of frameworks. The model of the life cycle of the information system, described in this paper, is intended to solve the problems described above on the basis of a methodological approach. Methodological integration of the stages of the life cycle can be carried out on the basis of combining the methods of performing the sequence of steps, which is the consideration in this paper. Application of the proposed life cycle model is possible in various application areas characterized by the presence of a complex data structure and frequent changes in user requirements and the structure of business processes.
