Satellite images provide a large amount of data necessary for studies and applications related to fields like meteorology, agriculture, surveying, geodynamics, army etc. The complete data combined with complete software for satellite data processing allow us to create a powerful tool that can be used for taking decisions. Adding software that are able to combine different data coming from various areas, you can obtain an indestructible weapon that can provide you information regarding the environmental monitoring and disaster management. The datasets are all the information that we need in order to reduce the impact of future calamities due to the fact that using computation rule we can analyze the physical hazard and elements exposed to risk. This paper presents an overview of the findings in current research focusing on combining open source satellite recordings with unconventional software in order to achieve information on modifications created by crustal movements during and after earthquake.
