The fouling is closely related to the corrosion of materials, repeatedly increasing the speed and extent of damage to marine equipment and infrastructure. Therefore, it is very important to search for effective ways to combat corrosion and fouling, to prevent them. All this is impossible without a careful study of objects - fouling organisms. Bench testing with the application of test plates is the most available and widespread method to study the development of fouling. In the winter of 2018-2019 has been investigated the dynamics of sedimentation of fouling organisms in natural climatic tests in the delta of the Don River and in the estuarine zone of the Sea of Azov. For the water area, where the experiment was conducted, is characterized by a complex combination of fresh, slightly saltish and brackish waters; the water level fluctuation caused by the wind surge phenomena. Experimental plates were made of aluminum alloys and carbon steels. The control experiment was investigated the deposition of organisms on neutral material (Plexiglas). In microfouling during the winter period were dominated diatoms. At the same time, the number of diatoms on the dural plates was lower than that on aluminum. Among macrofouling, the larvae of amphibiotic insects of the genus Chironomus were most common. There was no macrofouling on Plexiglass.
