Monitoring of heavy metals contents (Ni, Cr) in soils and regular upgrading of information enable to monitor development and changes in soil properties of present state, as well as trends in soil contamination. Data about situation of soil hygiene are necessary for evaluation of entering abilities of mentioned contaminants into food chain. In our work the present state of amounts of two risky elements in soil (in depth of 0-0.3m), as well as spatial identification with evaluation of information for spheres of environmental focus were assessed. Pseudototal contents of both monitored risky elements in extract of aqua regia and also contents of mobile (bioavailable) forms of these two elements in extract of NH4NO3 on thirty-four sampling sites of monitored area in Nitra region in Slovak republic were determined. Final contents were assessed by method of AAS on Varian AA 240FS and information about positions of tested sampling sites were processed by program OziExplorer. Exceed of the highest acceptable limits of these monitored elements in soil according to Law 220/2004 from Collection of Laws of Slovak republic was not evaluated in any of the sampling sites. Maximums of values of both contents (pseudototal and bioavailable) of tested heavy metals in samples taken from sites of analysed area were detected in its southern part, minimal values of pseudototal contents of analysed elements in soil (extracts in aqua regia) were detected in north-western part of tested soil area.
